Graduation Gift ideas for Nursing Students

My readers will know that I just recently graduated from nursing school. This means I was in position to think about what I would have appreciated for a gift, but also what I gave my friends for graduation.

A classic but much appreciated gift is a stethoscope. It is pricey but a quality gift that will give the user years of service. I would recommend a Littman Cardiac II or III.

They can be customized or engraved.

Plus they are so pretty.

Jewelry is always a wonderful gift for a celebration. I love this piece from Etsy.

All new nurses need a great coffee mug to help them get through those night shifts they are about to be working. Might as well make it personalized. 🙂 Find this one here.

So, what did I gift my two nursing besties?!?

You might remember these beauties from my birthday party and my pinning.

I created little gift bags with a few things I thought would make the first days of nursing easier.

A pretty pair of earrings to boost confidence, a water bottle to remind them to stay hydrated, an amazing little Kate Spade thin wallet which is perfect size to slip in your scrub pocket, and a candle to unwind with after a long day.

I hope this helps you find some ideas to gift your graduate or for someone who just passed their boards. Let me know if you have any other great ideas!

  1. I love this! I have a few friends that graduated recently and I’ve been struggling with what to get them. I thought about getting gift cards but this post has given me some ideas. Keep it up and congrats!

  2. Congratulations on graduating! I just started clinicals this summer and I am so excited about my journey! These are such great gift ideas. I am hoping when I graduate my husband will buy me the MDF Rose Gold Stethoscope!

    1. That’s wonderful. Clinicals were the highlight of nursing school – they let you glimpse into what life at the end of the tunnel was like!
